Bio, Pictures  & Praise

Thomas Wolfe once said, "If a man has talent and cannot use it, he has failed.  If he has talent and uses only half of it, he has partly failed.  If he has a talent and learns somehow to use the whole of it, he has gloriously succeeded and won a satisfaction and triumph few men ever know."

In his lifetime, Dr. Eric J. Chambers has been gifted with many talents and has tasted that triumph Thomas Wolfe spoke about. The 9-time Emmy and Golden Mike Award winner formerly of CBS in Hollywood, has had a fantastic career, and it's still going strong.

His journalism career began in 1976 as a 13-year-old sports writer for his hometown Slidell (La.) Daily Sentry News earning $3 per article covering little league baseball. And his professional TV career began in 1986 as a messenger in the mailroom at KGTV10 (ABC) in San Diego, where he also became a part-time reporter and fill-in anchor. Since then, his career has soared!

In the Fall of 2022, Dr. Chambers is launching a new urban entertainment TV show called The CUT Chronicles. Based in Hollywood, the show will feature celebrity interviews, plus segments on health, wealth, fashion, culture, and more.

Each book offers prompt questions that, when answered, will provide greater insight into who people are and their history.

One of his most triumphant achievements came in the wee hours of July 17, 2013, at 2:30 am, when he received an e-mail notifying him that he was selected to receive a coveted honorary doctorate and “Celebrity of Faith Award” from Next Dimension University, an accredited Bible college in Ontario, CA. “I was completely shocked when I read that e-mail!” said Chambers. “I had to read it several times to let it sink in and ensure it said what it said! My heart was touched with compassion as I cried  to sleep knowing the Lord honored my faithfulness.” He received the doctorate degree on August 17, 2013, before a capacity crowd of nearly 2000 people in Ontario, California.
